Lugu Lake / 泸沽湖
A pristine alpine lake straddling the Yunnan-Sichuan border at 2,685 meters elevation. Known as the 'Kingdom of Women,' it is home to the Mosuo people, a matrilineal society with unique 'walking marriage' customs. The lake features crystal-clear water, traditional wooden boats, and beautiful sunrises. It's one of the deepest lakes in China and surrounded by mountains on all sides.
