Blue Moon Valley / 蓝月谷
A stunning series of terraced glacial lakes at the foot of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. The water's surreal turquoise-blue color comes from copper and calcium carbonate dissolved in glacial meltwater. Four main lakes—Yuye Lake, Jintan Lake, Lanyue Lake, and Tingtao Lake—are connected by waterfalls and surrounded by lush vegetation against a backdrop of snow-capped peaks.

Tips
- Included in Jade Dragon Snow Mountain park entrance ticket (no extra fee). Electric shuttle available (CNY 50) but walking is recommended for better views. The opposite side of the lakes usually has fewer people. Best light for photography is late morning.
