Directed by renowned filmmaker Zhang Yimou (creative consultant in the original production) and produced using advanced lighting, music, water effects, and live performances, the show tells the legendary romance between Emperor Xuanzong and Yang Guifei based on Bai Juyi's famous Tang Dynasty poem.
