Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum / 明孝陵景区
Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum is the tomb of the Hongwu Emperor (Zhu Yuanzhang), founder of the Ming Dynasty, and Empress Ma. Completed in the early 15th century, it became the architectural model for many later Ming and Qing imperial tombs. It is especially renowned for its Sacred Way (Shendao) lined with monumental stone animals and officials. The mausoleum is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site: Imperial Tombs of the Ming and Qing Dynasties.
