Hongguang Mountain Big Buddha Temple / 红光山大佛寺
The largest Han Buddhist temple in Northwest China, located within Hongguang Mountain Ecological Park. The centerpiece is a 40.8m gilded bronze Shakyamuni Buddha — the world's second-largest copper standing Buddha, weighing 98 tons and covered in gold foil. The temple complex includes the Mahavira Hall, Thousand-Hand Guan Yin Hall, Ksitigarbha Hall, 500 Arhats Hall, and a kilometer-long Buddhist story relief wall. The mountain turns red at sunrise due to iron content.
