Yuantouzhu Scenic Area/Turtle Head Isle / 太湖鼋头渚风景区
Yuantouzhu, meaning "Turtle Head Isle," is Wuxi's most iconic scenic area on the northwestern shore of Taihu Lake. Named for its turtle-shaped peninsula, it is famous for panoramic lake views, classical gardens, cherry blossom groves, traditional architecture, and boat cruises to Taihu Fairy Isle (太湖仙岛). It is widely regarded as one of the best places in China to admire cherry blossoms.
