Xujiahui Academy / 徐家汇书院

Xujiahui Academy (officially branded as ZIKAWEI Library) is the new Xuhui District Library and one of Shanghai's most celebrated public cultural landmarks. Opened in 2023, the building combines modern architectural design with the historical heritage of Xujiahui (formerly known as "Zikawei"). It features spacious reading areas, exhibition spaces, a multimedia library, cafés, and panoramic terraces. With its striking spiral staircase, floor-to-ceiling glass walls, and elegant interior, it has become one of Shanghai's most popular destinations for architecture lovers, readers, and photography enthusiasts.
