Tianyi Pavilion Museum / 天一阁博物院
Tianyi Pavilion is the oldest existing private library in China, founded in 1561 during the Ming Dynasty by scholar-official Fan Qin (范钦). It is famous for its ingenious ancient book preservation system, classical Jiangnan gardens, ponds, rockeries, and historical buildings. Today, it functions as a museum showcasing rare books, ancient archives, calligraphy, and local Ningbo history.
