Drum Tower / 鼓楼
Originally built in 1272 during the Yuan Dynasty, the Drum Tower was used together with the nearby Bell Tower to announce the time throughout Beijing before modern clocks.

After 17:30, you can take free photos of the brightly lit panoramic view of the Drum Tower from the Drum Tower Garden terrace. The combination with the night view of Houhai will make for even better photos.
